What an awesome year it has been here at TempTribe, we’ve welcomed lots of new and returning faces to the TempTribe office team and boy, oh boy have we been kept busy with providing staff to fantastic events. The world of events is constantly buzzing and of course we love getting in on the action. Here’s a round-up of the top 10 events we’ve had the pleasure of being involved in…
10. Netball at Highbury Fields
Ok, ok, so it’s not strictly an event recognised by the masses, but for the TempTribe office team our Thursday night netball fixtures were always something to look forward to! We competed in two seasons and achieved great things including, actually scoring goals, numerous losses, a couple of draws and (suprisingly) secured a win! We even managed to position ourselves as 4th in the league in one the seasons (let’s just ignore the fact that there were only 5 teams)! We’re already looking forward to next year.
Oliver Proudlock (MIC lovers, you’ll know exactly who this is, in fact you’ll know him just as Proudlock) has been developing his very own clothing range; Serge DeNimes. As with any cool clothing concept comes a pop-up store and this of course provides the perfect reason to have a celebration: enter TempTribe bar staff. Our bar guys kept the drinks flowing and the guests entertained all throughout the night. They had a great time working with all the team on the famous Carnaby Street, right in the heart of London.
8. Ed Sheeran 3-day gig
My second favourite ginger (after Prince Harry of course), Ed Sheeran made his appearance at Wembley Stadium to SING at his 3-day sold out gig in July of this year. The concerts being at Wembley Stadium gave our staff the awesome opportunity to be in on Ed’s loop pedal action working at various restaurants, bars and retail outlets for all of the 3 days. Not only did our staff love it, so did MTV saying that Ed ‘SMASHED’ it!
7. European Society of Cardiology Medical Congress
This year’s European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Medical Congress was hosted at London’s ExCel Centre. This is Europe’s largest medical meeting with delegates from all around the continent flying in to London’s many Airports. TempTribe hostesses met delegates with a smile and accompanied them on their transfers to their hotels and from their hotels to the ExCel Centre where they were welcomed by yet another team of our gorgeous hostesses.
6. Believe in Magic Ball
In August the Natural History Museum’s Hintze Hall (the one with the dinosaur) hosted the ‘Believe in Magic Ball’. The ball was a fundraiser for the Believe in Magic charity for terminally ill children and their families. The event was hosted by none other than (1D fans…hold on tight) Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne! Hospitality staff from TempTribe were there serving the hundreds of guests their 3 course meal and keeping their wine glasses topped up throughout the night. It was something really special to be involved in an event for such a worthy cause.
Every year ‘Taste of London’ is hosted in Regent’s Park hosting a huge variety of food stalls coming to exhibit all the yumminess you could dream of – it is an absolute must for foodies! TempTribe hospitality staff were on the scene taking care of the hospitality suites and worked hard throughout the duration of the festival. Check out the case study on our website to read more about it.
4. Pride of Britain Awards
This truly emotive event happens every year and TempTribe Hostesses were fortunate to take part in contributing to a national celebration of Britain’s unsung heroes. You can read the Pride of Britain Hostesses case study on our website, but what we will say is that it was a really humbling evening for all who attended.
3. FRIENDS Fest
The most iconic coffee house and apartment in American TV sitcom arrived in at The Boiler House, Brick Lane in September and for a limited time only. Tickets for the ‘FRIENDS Fest’ sold out at Glastonbury ticket sales speed, but of course TempTribe’s hospitality staff managed to get their time on set. They were lucky enough to bag themselves a way in working on this infamous location welcoming FRIENDS lovers to their experience. I KNOW, amazing right!?! Need we even say any more, could this event BE any cooler??! (–see what I did there?)
2. Hotel Cateys
What a night it was!! We arrived at the festively decorated Park Plaza Westminster Bridge hotel ready for a fantastic evening celebrating the Hotel Industry and all it’s people. We had a great night dressed up all fancy, in the great company of some of the best people in the Hotel Industry accompanied by delicious food, wine, music, singing and dancing. What can we say, we’re easily pleased.
1. THE RUGBY WORLD CUP 2015
Being a massive rugby fan myself (the sport for real men of course) I was counting down the days, hours, minutes, seconds until it all kicked off and it was so worth the wait. TempTribe staff were lucky enough to be part of the team of an army of workers who ensure this Rugby World Cup was the most successful to date. Not only did our pubs sell more pints, it brought a sense of excitement all around the country. Rugby World Cup we’re already ready for the next time – see you there!
