From the volume of media and press coverage we are exposed to, it would be pretty much impossible for people to not know about the current refugee crisis. It is estimated that approximately 700,000 refugees have arrived in Europe so far this year (BBC News, 27th Oct) with more undoubtedly still to arrive.
If we restructure the right to work permission process for refugees by cutting wait time, more refugees will enter the work scene faster and in particular be channeled into industries facing issues (the hospitality industry) and contribute to a boost in our economy. This could be a win-win-win situation for the refugees, the hospitality sector and ultimately our economy.
