Since we work in hospitality we’d like to think we’re a bit of an expert on the subject. To facilitate your next choice of event space, we’ve picked out a few of our favourites! Here are some of the most eyebrow-raising venues in London that are guaranteed to leave your guests in awe.
This Art-Deco beauty is the pride of London. Silver Gallery with a staffed cloakroom and the historic venue spreads over three levels and hosts up Separate entrance to 500 guests for dinner and dancing, or 1,200 for a reception.
Kimpton is a landmark hotel, occupying a full block along the eastern side of Russell Square. A recent £85 million refurbishment restored the venue to its spectacular original beauty standards. The Ballroom with soaring ceilings and a full wall of windows hosts up to 450 guests!
Grosvenor House Hotel
Did you know that the Great Room at the Grosvenor Hotel was actually launched as an ice skating rink in 1929? Due to its magnificent size, it’s able to host up to 2000 guests. It is an unrivalled choice for an elegant event of this magnitude.
St Pancras Renaissance Hotel
St Pancras Renaissance Hotel in Kings Cross offers twelve event rooms,12,000 square feet of upscale meeting rooms and outdoor space, with the largest one hosting up to 575 people. The stunning Hansom Hall is our personal favourite, combining the classy event space with the unmistakable architecture of the St Pancras station and hotel.
Black-tie galas, balls, weddings… Savoy is one of the most famous and prestigious venues for special occasions in London. Overlooking River Thames and conveniently located by Charing Cross, placing it halfway between Westminster and the City, it’s a popular location for exclusive events, from private parties to gatherings of London’s high-society.
The recently fully-restored The Ned Hotel has six beautiful meeting rooms and two outdoor terraces on the historic sixth floor. You can host any classy event from 4 to 200 people surrounded by walnut panelling, ample domed windows and vintage chandeliers.
Landmark’s website describes their venues by saying: “Grand event spaces, elegant meeting rooms and an impressive range of facilities in an ideal London location.” And, indeed, grand they are! With 11 personable spaces, from rooms with floor-length windows and high ceilings to a charming Winter Garden, the Landmark caters to a whole range of different occasions and doing so at a prime Marylebone postcode.
