We had a great pleasure to be the sponsors of the Drinks Reception at the Hotel Cateys 2015 again this year and what a night it was!
The Hotel Cateys are the hospitality industry’s most renowned awards, organised annually by The Caterer magazine. Now in their 9th year, the Cateys recognise UK hotels, as well as individuals and teams, for their operational excellence, leading to outstanding guest experience.
The shortlist was impressive and included some of TempTribe’s fantastic 5* clients such as Rosewood London, London Edition and St Pancras Renaissance!
The night at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London started off with a Drinks Reception where the award nominees mingled with other industry professionals, hoteliers and suppliers, while sipping on delicious champagne.
The guests were then invited by the ‘X Factor’ Voice Over Man Peter Dickson to the 1,200-square-metre Westminster Ballroom, where the Awards were about to commence.
Hostesses from TempTribe helped the guests find their tables and soon after, the entire room was listening attentively to the welcome speeches from Mark Lewis (Publisher) and Amanda Afiya (Editor) at The Caterer magazine.
As you would expect, the Hotel Cateys menu did not disappoint! It featured: cured salmon served with homemade horseradish, four kinds of beetroot and figs, venison fillet served with parsley puree, red cabbage and game jus, half-sphere delice with raspberry coulis. Delicious dinner was accompanied by The Balvenie DoubleWood, 12 year old whisky.
There was some top class entertainment, too! Abandoman took the stage to perform several hilarious freestyle songs based on audience suggestions. Their witty rhyming, huge comedy talent and infectious energy got everyone laughing.
The charity of choice for the evening couldn’t be more relevant! The Springboard Charity helps young people achieve their potential and supports underprivileged people into sustainable employment within hospitality, leisure and tourism. Anne Pierce from Springboard encouraged the guests to dig deep and so they did, raising over £8,500!
And the long-awaited award ceremony began! Hotel Cateys were judged by 70 industry experts who chose the winners in 18 categories. See the full list of Hotel Cateys 2015 winners here.
