Fortnum and Mason is a beautiful 310 years old luxury department store on London’s Piccadilly. Inside this landmark store, there is The Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon. It was opened in 2012 by HM the Queen and its elegant and tranquil surroundings are perfect to enjoy a traditional Afternoon Tea. Fortnum’s is famous for selling an exceptional range of teas from every corner of the globe and there’s no better place to experience Afternoon Tea than the Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon!
TempTribe are very proud to be providing Fortum’s Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon with temporary hospitality staff since 2015. Fortnum and Mason’s are part of a new surge of big businesses who have committed to paying competitive and fair prices to hospitality workers. As such we are very pleased to be able to offer our staff the London Living Wage on all shifts at Fortnum and Mason’s.
The immediate result of the pay increase was a very high demand from our staff to work on Fortnum and Mason’s jobs. We were able to attract the best workers to this venue and build a consistent team for our client, which is a big desire of many hospitality employers. The wait staff working at Fortnum’s are motivated, the guests receive the best service possible and our client is happy. Everybody is a winner!
Given the current challenges in hospitality and the shortage of workers in the industry, we’d like to say thank you to Fortnum & Mason’s, as they are a great client, doing the right things and getting the results they want. We hope more hospitality employers will follow their lead.
And if you haven’t tried their famous Afternoon Tea, we strongly recommend that you do! 🙂
